The Forester 5 Bar gate is a value traditional gate with a universal design allowing it to be hung from either end. This gate is ideal for use as a field gate or farm gate. However, the Forester can also be used as an economical entrance gate for your property.

The Forester 5 bar gate benefits from a domed top bar, mortice and tenon joints and diagonal braces which are morticed into the top bar providing maximum strength and stability. With a planed finish and stainless steel fixings.

We recommend hanging these gates on 150mm x 150mm posts (6×6)

Pressure Treated Softwood

Pressure treatment protects the timber against wood rot and insect attack. These treatments do not provide all round protection against weathering. The elements and UV rays will slowly degrade the effectiveness of the pressure treatment.

We therefore recommend that all planed timber gates are treated with Barrettine Wood Preserver Treatment. This is particularly important when hanging a pair of 5 Bar gates as it will help alleviate potential warping due to weathering and UV rays.
